Fireworks effects are the perfect addition to your first dance. Fireworks and Sparkler effects capture the magic and true love of your wedding, that will leave your guests in awe.
When fireworks are added with dry ice effects it will take your wedding photos to the next level. Our pyro-technician will carefully position your fireworks effects so that they won’t interfere with any photography.

In reality, there are a ton of amazing reasons to add the two, including:

You may be looking for fireworks inspirations and our pyro-technicians are known for their creativity. Some fantastic ideas for when you could use fireworks at your wedding are:

Affordable Fireworks effects – Melbourne Weddings
Fireworks effects are an affordable option for every wedding. Many people expect firework effects to take a large chunk out of their wedding budget. Despite popular belief, our pyro-technicians will provide affordable fireworks effects for your wedding. Our prices start at $1195 for two fireworks displays when you book a DJ. Drive out fees may apply.
Our price is based on a Friday wedding not including delivery or GST. Prices may be higher on public holidays.
What makes fireworks effects affordable?
Pyrotek FX our pyro-technicians are all fully certified, insured and licensed. The price includes:
- The purchase of the fireworks.
- The commute to the venue.
- An onsite technician for the duration of the effects.
- The setup of the effects.
- Filling out the required paperwork.
- Liaising with venues and vendors.
- Insurance up to $20M.
When these factors are taken into consideration our fireworks effects are very affordable.
The Difference Between Fireworks & Sparklers Effects
There is a slight difference as to how Fireworks and Sparkler effects they are setup. Comparatively, to the untrained eye, there is almost no real difference between the two effects. The added benefit of Wedding Sparkler effects is that they can be used multiple times throughout the night, whereas, fireworks are a single-use effect.
Although fireworks are a one time use, fireworks are the more affordable wedding effects option. This is especially true if you’re only planning to use them once or twice on the night. Sparklers are priced higher if you want to utilise their full potential.
Some other differences include:
- Fireworks are variable in sizes from 50CM to 8M (price varies slightly with over 3M)
- Sparklers are either 3M or 4M.
- Fireworks can be tilted at almost 90 degrees to make some magnificent effects.
- Sparklers have a maximum of 45 degrees.
Venues and firework effects
Some venues allow the use of both effects whilst others do not. Sparklers are not allowed at Crown Casino, whilst fireworks are allowed. Some venues only allow sparklers. Our pyro-technician are happy to work with all venues to find the right solution for you. Our pyro-technician will stay compliant with the wishes of the venue.
In the event that a venue is heritage listed our pyro-technician will need to use sparklers. Under those circumstances, Fireworks are not allowed at these venues due to regulations. Ultimately the choice of what effect is held by management and/or the owner.
What type of fireworks do you offer?
Our pyro-technicians have a wide range of fireworks effects for every wedding. We can have two astounding fireworks effects including:
- Downwards facing fireworks effects
- Multiple fireworks
How much notice is required if I want to book it in for our wedding?
Our technicians require a minimum of 7 days to lodge the required paperwork to receive approval. However, outdoor effects it can take up to 3 months depending on the council regulatory requirements. Our technicians ask that you give between 2-3 weeks notice. This way they can procure the fireworks and complete the necessary paperwork.
We are unsure if our venue will allow fireworks if there are restrictions what can be done?
Occasionally, some venues may have restrictions on fireworks effects. However, there is an alternative, sparklers effects. As a result, our pyro-technicians are yet to find a venue which we cannot provide some variation of Sparklers or fireworks.
