Every key moment planned collaboratively so you arrive at Vines knowing exactly how your night is going to unfold.
On the day James liaises directly with the Vines team so the couple never has to be the middleman between their suppliers.
The run sheet is shared, the cues are aligned and everything flows so you can be present in the moment.

When the Plan Creates Something Unexpected
Melissa and Tyrone’s first dance was planned with dry ice. The floor disappeared under the cloud and the couple moved through it while their guests watched in complete silence.
When the dance ended there was dry ice left over. James took Melissa and Tyrone out to the field behind the venue as the sun was dropping over the valley.

What followed were photographs in fading golden light with dry ice rolling across the grass and the Yarra Ranges in the background.

A Vines wedding has its own rhythm. The entrances, the speeches, the transition to the dance floor. Getting that flow right from the microphone is what keeps the night feeling considered and completely yours.
In the lead up James takes the time to get to know you, your guests and the key people in the room. Photos of family members, names to remember, dynamics to be aware of.

Will your DJ setup be ready before our ceremony at Vines of the Yarra Valley?
Yes. James plans his arrival and setup so the DJ booth, sound and reception production are completed before your ceremony begins.
When your ceremony finishes and guests move into cocktail hour, everything is already in place and ready for the reception. For Vines of the Yarra Valley weddings, this earlier setup is factored into the booking and there is no additional charge for the extra setup time.

Ending Under the Festoon Lights
Jenny and Woojong had wanted to do their first dance outside under the festoon lights with the valley behind them. The rain earlier in the evening had made that impossible so they moved inside and the night continued from there.
They had no planned send off. As the evening wound down we did what we always do. We checked in with the couple to make sure nothing had been missed from their request list. I asked them if there was anything they wanted before we end the night.
They were happy. Genuinely happy with how everything had gone.
Then I looked outside.
The sky had cleared. The festoon lights were on. The valley was sitting quietly behind the venue in the dark.
I told them we could still make the outdoor first dance happen. I disconnected my third speaker from the system. Turned on the backup laptop. And wired it all outside just for that one moment.
We gathered whoever remained and moved everyone out under the festoon lights
I hit play on the song they had chosen as it filled the space.
Jenny and Woojong danced together under the festoon lights with the Yarra Ranges behind them and the people they loved most gathered naturally around them.
The moment they had wanted from the beginning.
That was how the night ended.
Not because it was on the plan. Because we asked the question at the right moment and we had everything ready to make it happen.
