In 2017 I had spinal surgery. Four years of managing, adapting and finding ways to keep performing through pain that most people would use as a reason to stop.
In 2023 I was packing down after DJing a wedding for a friend I had known since primary school. As I was leaving the venue my turntable road case fell from the trolley and I twisted to grab it
The moment I twisted I felt the damage immediately.
The Morning after
I went to emergency and had a scan done immediately after I got home. The result was worse than I thought, it was 5 bulging discs in my back.
The Show Must Go On
I had a DJ booking I had the following week went ahead. The client had no idea anything was wrong. They never should have.
